Funny Names for Things

October 22nd, 2007

There have been a number of funny or funnily-named things that I have come across recently. They mainly revolve around solicitors and clients names but hey, that’s the shit that I shovel man. First I found a firm of solicitors called Kevill’s however it gets better. There is now some solicitors called ‘Straine Keville’. Now, obviously this means nothing to the two solicitors who run the firm yet to us, well, it’s a perplexing image. Two client names that cropped up are:

  • Fanny Pearson
  • Minnie Willie

The best name comes from a man who did some of the additional voices in Toy Story 2 though. This is a genuine name as well I must add and that man’s name was…

Rodger Bumpass.

Also there’s a firm of solicitors called ‘Moon Beever’. On the website it explains about the solicitor called Moon… BUT IT DOESN’T MENTION THE BEEVER!

Do you think Roger Bumpass can do the voice of a moon beaver?

I think if we wrote to him and asked he would be up for it. Let’s face it he wasn’t credited with actually doing anyone’s voice meaning he’s a bit player and will probably be desperate for the money.

    WA-HEY!

Maybe we could get him to narrate Pouring Beans, in some way.

I would like to point out that it was I who spotted Rodger Bumpass. Along with Debbie Derryberry, another contributor to Toy Story 2. This is fast becoming one of my favourite films, as young mini-McIver insists on watching it every day. Along with the Nightmare Before Christmas, and he knows the script of that.

    We both do 😀

    Nightmare Before Christmas is legendary.

    Toy Story 2 less so.

They’re both up, up and away! Love Jack Skellington, wish I was him.

    If you ask me.

I’m surprised Kev hasn’t responded to the straining section of my post yet.

I think he’s ignoring us again. What a snob.

All I’m going to say is that I had the word “bumpass” in my head all yesterday. Curse you McIver!

He’s spurned your “Keville” information, Ian. As such I think he has left himself wide open to a substantial decking.

I think a substantial decking is in order. Not an inadequate one, not a severe one but a substantial one for sure.

Expect a case of “hired goons” to pay a visit to you at some point this week.

Yeah! The goon-given decking will be sufficient and substantial, Kev, and I just hope your FACE is ready for it! Suck on that one, mo fo!

I like the way we can be nice in some posts but then horribly violent to each other in others.
