I’ve insured mine for £100. But the extra twenty is for sentimental value. The insurer is very clear that if I tried to sell them on the open market I’d be lucky to get the full £40 per knacker.

It’s a good question. To get a definitive answer, I’ve just gone back and read the sign in full, and can confirm Ian’s cods are worth £40 each.
